About HeiConnect

HeiConnect is a research prototype (closed beta) that helps researchers at Universität Heidelberg and affiliated institutes find collaborators and open funding calls. It aggregates publicly available scholarly data from OpenAlex, ORCID, Crossref, GEPRIS, CORDIS, DataCite/Zenodo and heiDOK/DNB, each record shown with its provenance. No login-protected pages are scraped; web harvesting respects robots.txt.

Privacy & opt-out

All pages except this one and login/registration require an account. Your account data is stored separately from the public research data and can be exported or deleted from your profile page at any time. Researchers can opt out of appearing on this platform entirely — the opt-out persists across data refreshes. Details, legal bases, and your rights: Privacy Notice (Datenschutzerklärung). HeiConnect does not rule on eligibility or approve budgets — the research office at your institution does. Support offices lists the ones we have verified.
